Privacy policy
Last updated 4 November 2026.
Aurum is a desktop dashboard that runs only on its owner's Windows computer. This policy explains what Google user data it accesses and what it does with that data.
Data Aurum accesses
- Gmail (read-only,
gmail.readonly): for recent messages in the inbox, the sender, subject, date, a short preview and whether the message is unread. - Google Calendar (read-only,
calendar.readonly): the list of calendars and the events in the next eight days, including the title, time, location and response status.
Aurum cannot send, delete, label or change email, and cannot create or change calendar events.
How the data is used
The data is used only to show the inbox and upcoming events on the dashboard. It is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics or training any model, and it is not sold.
Where the data goes
Aurum talks directly from the computer it runs on to Google's APIs. There is no Aurum server, and Google user data is never sent to or shared with anyone else.
Storage
- Email and calendar contents are kept in memory only while the app is running and are not written to disk.
- The Google sign-in token is stored on the same computer, encrypted with Windows' built-in data protection, which ties it to the owner's Windows account.
Removing access
Signing out in Aurum deletes the stored token. Access can also be revoked at any time from Google account permissions.
Limited Use
Aurum's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
